Thank you for visiting Hip Monkey.com and taking the time to learn what we are all about.  Hip Monkey was a concept that I came up with as a way to help raise funds for The Kyle David Miller Foundation, a non profit organization started in memory of my son, Kyle, who was killed in a car accident on May 29, 2005.  The KDM Foundation works hard to raise awareness about child car seat safety and also provides heigher weight harness car seats to families in need at no cost.  With the KDM Foundation's waiting list at over 1000 children in need of a safe car seat that we did not have the funds to provide, I knew something more had to be done to raise money to help those children.  That is when the idea for Hip Monkey was born... a baby store that could offer safe car seats and high quality baby products for families, while raising money that will go to help children in need.

Many large online baby stores have been using the information provided by the KDM Foundation and our YouTube video about Kyle’s story, on their websites, to promote car seat sales for their own financial gain.  Yet despite our requests, every one of those large corporate baby stores has refused to donate even a penny to the KDM Foundation, so that we can help families in need.  So don't be fooled if you see Kyle’s youtube video and story elsewhere, these stores are simply using it for their own gain.  Hip Monkey is the only store donating it's proceeds to support the The Kyle David Miller Foundation to help families who are not fortunate enough to be able to afford a safe car seat for their children. 

At Hip Monkey, parents are given the unique opportunity to purchase the products they need to keep their kids safe while helping children in need at the same time... everybody wins!
